Industrial Mechanic

Job Overview: We are currently seeking an experienced and qualified Industrial Mechanic to join our maintenance team. As an Industrial Mechanic, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and optimal operation of machinery and equipment used in our commodity trading, distribution, and transportation facilities. You will play a crucial role in keeping our operations running smoothly and efficiently while upholding the highest standards of safety and quality.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on machinery, equipment, and facilities to identify and resolve issues promptly.
• Diagnose mechanical problems and implement effective repair solutions to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks to extend the lifespan and reliability of equipment.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team and other departments to address and resolve mechanical issues.
• Assist in the installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports.
• Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and cost-saving initiatives.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical certifications or trade school education preferred.
• Proven experience as an Industrial Mechanic or similar role in an industrial setting (commodity trading, distribution, or transportation industry experience is a plus).
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Proficiency in reading technical manuals, blueprints, and diagrams.
• Familiarity with various hand and power tools used in industrial maintenance.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve common goals.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with colleagues at all levels.
• Commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
