Position Overview: The primary duties of a Mechanic include performing diagnostic tests on our inventory of Class Eight Trucks to find faults, analyzing diagnostic test results, and performing light mechanical repairs.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and Repair Engine, Aftertreatment, and Electrical faults using OEM Software.
  • Ability to reprogram onboard computers/modules using OEM software.
  • Inspect brakes systems, transmission, mechanical, and electrical components on trucks.
  • Perform mechanical maintenance including replacing wheel seals, brakes, and other minor mechanical repairs.
  • Safely perform assigned tasks in compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate professional communication.
  • Participate in training programs, maintain, and update safety skills and knowledge, and keep current with hazardous material training requirements.
  • Maintain neat and orderly work area.

Required Qualifications:

  • Class B or A CDL Preferred.
  • Experience repairing heavy duty Class 8 trucks preferred.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment background check and Motor Vehicle Record check.
  • Must have adequate hand tools to perform daily duties.
  • Knowledge of Class 8 Trucks, their electrical system, and the mechanisms of diesel engines preferred.
  • Knowledge of diesel engine and Aftertreatment components and their operations preferred.
  • Knowledge of maintenance tools and repair equipment.
  • Comfortable using mechanical and electrical power tools
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of computer systems and other relevant electronics, their operations, functions, and proper diagnostic procedures preferred.
  • Knowledge and understanding on mechanical and computing diagnostics.
  • Knowledge and experience Using OEM Specific Diagnostics software. To include diagnostic troubleshooting and reprogramming of onboard computer systems preferred.
